When I switched my Synergy Server to my Red Hat Linux box, I noticed my Back\/Forward mouse buttons didn&#8217;t work.<\/p>\n<p>After searching around for a bit, adding the following lines to your synergy.conf file fixed this.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>$ sudo vi \/etc\/synergy.conf<\/p>\n<p><strong>section: options<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;mousebutton(6) = keystroke(WWWBack)<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;mousebutton(7) = keystroke(WWWForward)<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;mousebutton(4) = ;<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;mousebutton(5) = ;<br \/>\nend<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So with my current setup (sk-win7 <-> sk-redhat <-> sk-ubuntu) with sk-redhat being my Synergy Server, my \/etc\/synergy.conf looks like:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>section: screens<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;sk-redhat:<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;sk-win7:<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;sk-ubuntu:<br \/>\nend<\/p>\n<p>section: aliases<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;sk-win7:<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;10.4.1.1<br \/>\nend<\/p>\n<p>section: links<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;sk-redhat:<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;left = sk-win7<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;right = sk-ubuntu<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;sk-win7:<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;right = sk-redhat<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;sk-ubuntu:<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;left = sk-redhat<br \/>\nend<\/p>\n<p>section: options<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;mousebutton(6) = keystroke(WWWBack)<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;mousebutton(7) = keystroke(WWWForward)<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;mousebutton(4) = ;<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;mousebutton(5) = ;<br \/>\nend\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>After adding this section, I was able to get my mouse back\/forward buttons to work on all of my boxes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I Did NOT have this problem when my Synergy Server was on Windows.
